Learn About Sherrard Pools
Rob Sherrard started out specializing in custom concrete patios. Soon, he became sought-after by inground pool contractors who needed his skill set and beautiful concrete patios to complete their pool projects. As you can imagine, Sherrard's repeated high-quality work had pool contractors looking to hire him to complete the entire fiberglass pool installation from start to finish.
Sherrard and his crew installed fiberglass pools and patios as a subcontractor for many years. One thing he learned was that he loved fiberglass pools! Desiring to have more control over the projects, Sherrard adecided to strike out on his own, creating Sherrard Pools.

Steps to Build a Fiberglass Pool
Planning & Permits
Choose the pool size, shape, and location. Obtain necessary permits from local authorities. Conduct a site survey to check for underground utilities and soil conditions.
Excavation
The area is excavated according to the dimensions of the pool shell. A gravel base is laid to provide a stable foundation.
Pool Shell Delivery & Placement
The pre-manufactured fiberglass shell is delivered (usually in one piece). A crane or other equipment is used to lower the shell into the excavation.
Leveling & Plumbing
The shell is leveled and adjusted. Plumbing lines for filtration, heating, and water features are installed.
Backfilling & Filling
The space around the shell is backfilled with gravel or sand while the pool is filled with water simultaneously to maintain balance.
Decking & Landscaping
Concrete, pavers, or other decking materials are installed around the pool. Landscaping and finishing touches are added.
Final Inspection & Handover
A final inspection ensures everything meets the code. The pool is cleaned, and the system is tested before handover.
